I have a 65 Riviera with an SP-400 tranny. It's got reverse but no forward gears.I ran across a guy with a 73 Riviera with a 455 and a TH-400.He's willing to let the TH-400 with the torque converter and yoke/driveshaft for $100 bucks if I yank it myself. Will that set up bolt into my 65 Riviera?I do plan on having the SP-400 rebuilt, but I'd like to get my 65 on the road. This way I could drive it while the original tranny gets rebuilt.Would the TH-400 work with my 65.What am I looking at as far as swapping it out.

I think the nailhead has a unique bolt pattern, not the BOP bolt pattern.

    Mystery solved.

Thanks for the info folk's.I located a replacement tranny 30 miles from my crib in a wreckers yard for $250 and a warranty.I'm going to pick it up Thursday morning. The original is going to the rebuilders this weekend so I'll have a back up tranny just in case. Looks like I'll be rollin' soon.
