    this shelby was a bad mf'er,but seller was telling "guy got killed in vietnam" bull**** story,said it had 26k actual,car way too rough for that low mileage
    wanted 65K

    Love those 57's. When they first came out, two 57 Fairlane 500 convertibles showed up at the drive in where I worked. One was red and white with Merc cruiser skirts and a continental kit, automatic, and the other was a black and white with a 3 speed and regular skirts. They sure were pretty but the 55-57 Chevies still ate them alive.

    Wow, that's $15,000 more than I paid for the same engine back in 1977. I should have kept it. Thanks for the pictures :TU:

    But I might be bias to those cars

    Just picked up the LAST Piece of the puzzle to restore my Torino GT, a NOS GT HOOD. Big cars with big motors. oh yah

    you couldn't tell the economy was in the crapper at this swap meet.

    there were 4 buildings full of stuff,and every one of them was packed

    stuff was being bought,too.people were walking around with dollys full of parts on them.

    i talked to a guy that came from LA for this swap meet,he said prices are crazy out west.crazier than what?:Do No:

    vendors were standing heads up on the end,that was a broken foot waiting to happen.:rant:

    That's a good question. I always wondered why I've never seen a shoebox tri-five chevy at Pure Stock.
