Love those 57's. When they first came out, two 57 Fairlane 500 convertibles showed up at the drive in where I worked. One was red and white with Merc cruiser skirts and a continental kit, automatic, and the other was a black and white with a 3 speed and regular skirts. They sure were pretty but the 55-57 Chevies still ate them alive.
Wow, that's $15,000 more than I paid for the same engine back in 1977. I should have kept it. Thanks for the pictures :TU: Bill
Just got a booner from the Cyclone spoiler !!!:Brow: p But I might be bias to those cars Just picked up the LAST Piece of the puzzle to restore my Torino GT, a NOS GT HOOD. Big cars with big motors. oh yah Cool pics
you couldn't tell the economy was in the crapper at this swap meet. there were 4 buildings full of stuff, and every one of them was packed stuff was being bought, too.people were walking around with dollys full of parts on them. i talked to a guy that came from LA for this swap meet,he said prices are crazy out west.crazier than what?o No: vendors were standing heads up on the end, that was a broken foot waiting to happen.
That's a good question. I always wondered why I've never seen a shoebox tri-five chevy at Pure Stock.
