Oh man, 16 year old killed racing. Kid in a Protege racing a Camaro down a twisty hilly two lane in a residential neighborhood. Why oh why? 16 Year old passenger is in crtical condition too. The 19 year old in the Camaro is in jail. They made it just past deadman's curve where I assume he lost it and hit a 2 foot diameter Oak tree. All this during rush hour too. The Camaro just missed a Mom and child in a minivan head on.
I did stupid stuff too, but my dad had me out in the snow and ice learning skid control and drifting. And I never got a really fast car until I was 18.
Pick your time and places for racing. Better yet, keep it on the track. And they wonder why we cry everytime a track gets closed... :Dou: so so sad :(

Man I hate hearing stories like that, I mean I've done stupid things too, but not in the middle of rush hour on residential roads...sheesh! And WHY in a crappy Protege too?!!!!

I hate to hear about things like this. It give a bad impression of both young drivers and fast cars. I mean I've done some stupid stuff when I was younger, but never anything that would endanger other people like this. However, when people hear about this right away it's "the normal for young drivers or people with fast cars". Not everyone with a fast car is going to drive it like an idiot, but they assume you will. Then the insurance companies jack the rates way up  We all end up paying for it to drive the cars we like :af: I guess I'm done ranting for now. I hope the 19 year old learned something :Do No:
