Do you have an Amplifier... If so, how big. JL audio subs are considered one of the best subs out there. Do you know if its the W4 or W6 model. (the number stands for the impedance.)

If you just want to run the one sub with your amp, I'd make sure your amp has the ability to run in Mono. If so then just get a box for it and hook up the + & - wires to the mono side of the amp. Its actually pretty easy. There is also ways around it if the amp is stereo only.

Lemme know what you have and I'd be more than happy to help you. I used to compete in competitions (IASCA) with my wagon, in my youth.... I'm really feeling much better now:Dou:

I had a pair of 10'' Free Air subs in one of my cars - they were GREAT!!:bglasses: :TU:

    Check out this JL site.

Interesting story about an improperly box in a trunk that exploded!!:eek2:

Pull the speaker out of the box to see where those wires go to. If its a Dual Voice coil (I don't know if JL made any:Do No: ) then the max you should have it four. Usually its just two wires. Pull the speaker and if all the wires just attach to the +/- terminals on the speaker you can get rid of all but two. Keep the two largest wires for less resistance. There might be a crossover in the box somewhere that accounts for the extra wires (for the mid's and high's). Also you can check the magnet of the sub to see how much power it can handle(RMS) and if its a 4 or 6 ohm, that will give you an idea to how big an amp you can run (but thats a whole nother can of worms).
