    Hello Everyone!

I'm in So. Cal. and I occasionally go to the junkyard, as I'm sure many other members here do as well. Sometimes, I'll see a car that has been just laid down with nothing yet removed and usually free of rust.

If it is a Buick, then I will look here to see if anyone here has a specific request on whatever year and model it happens to be. If not, I'll post what I've found and ask for interested members to contact me by phone or with a phone number.

Let me add to that, if you're serious about wanting a particular part, put into your post how much you're willing to pay for it shipped to your door. That way members like myself can determine if it's worth the time and energy to grab it for you.

Finally, if you aren't willing to call, or won't give a number to contact you, I figure that you probably weren't too serious to begin with. It makes it so much easier to talk to a member from the boneyard when I'm standing right next to the vehicle that they want parts from.

    Just a suggestion.

I realize that I'm a new member, but I was able to fill a request for a pulley and an alternator for two separate members that truly were serious.

John I have tried to do the same. There is a yard that is way out in no were. It ahs old buicks in it as well as others. talked to the owner and hes says there not going anywere and his son who is a couple of years younger then me has his same look at the cars. There worth more in parts he tells me then to scrap them. Let me tell you when I go out there every couple of months he will ahve something new(old car) but the newer stuff like late 80/90 cars he sends to a buddy of his place and he goes threw them. and the old stuff gets sent to him. I try to keep a list handy with me but most of the time the people on here find waht they are looking for or i never here anything more about what they want. Great idea though with the phone number. Might have to try that idea.

John, I'm looking for a nice set of 65 Skylark front park light housings. I don't the need lenses or metal grills, just the housings. The wiring needs to be intact. All the housings I have are either rusted beyond belief, or the 2-wire pigtail is toast. I also need a nice set of drip rail mouldings for a 64-65 a-body.
I'll send you a pm with my phone numbers.

    Mark

    Marvin,
I'm near Long Beach and head over to the Wilmington yards. Ecology has the better selection because they don't ship them over to Memory Lane and jack up the prices. It depends on what area I happen to be in also.

There is a big yard off of the 5 freeway at Lankershim/Tuxford.

Also, some on Alameda near Vernon and a few in Torrance at Artesia (never know what will show up there) and Pick-a-Part in Santa Fe Springs and the one off of the 710 & 60.

    I go wherever whenever!
