This cam is a take out from a motor I built in 2003. Going with a blower now, so new cam going in.

Excellent hot street/Strip solid cam for a BBB with good flowing heads.

With a 11-1 Shortblock and good STG 2's/SP-1/850 Holley, this cam was good for 625HP..

With matching TA 1410 lifters, kept in order.

In excellent shape, low time on these.

New- cam and lifters would cost you over $300 with the shipping from TA.

Pick it up for $175 shipped to the 48 states..

Jim how would this be with a set of iron stg 1 heads

It's a 260/266 duration, so if you have good exhausts on the irons it would be ok, but probably not optimal.

It's probably better for good exhaust flowing TA alum head.

    But it would work...

Jim, this cam sounds big for a street motor. I know the valve lash makes a solid cam sound bigger than they are as far as duration goes. What would this be roughly equivalent to in a hydraulic cam? A 250-256? 240-246? Also, is this cam big enough to run premium pump gas with the 11:1 cr?

Thanks Jim, my heads are only mild so I'm going to pass on this one, if you have anything else kicking around that would suit a 10.5:1 iron head motor let me know.
    Thanks
    Herb

    Paul,

Rule of thumb is a solid cam has to be 8* bigger than a hydraulic, to account for the lash.

As far as running on pump premo, pm user offbrandracing .. he had it in his car, with an 11-1 engine, he can tell you about fuel needs.

    Paul,

I drove it on the street and played around with pump premium. Only mixed race fuel when I was at the track just to make sure I didn't have any problems.

    Regards,
