    TA Aluminum Big Block -SOLD

SOLD SOLD SOLD I have a TA aluminum 455 Block for sale, the block is at 4.380 good to 4.500 the main and cam line are standard Buick 455. I can increase the cam tunnel to fit 460 cam bearings. The block is fairly new and very little time on it. i am selling it because I have two other TA Aluminum Blocks, these blocks are $6,000 I am asking $5,000 I can also sell it with a 4.05 stroked crankshaft, 6.800 rods and the 4.380 pistons for $7850 all you need is a cam, bearings and rings to complete the short block. I might be interested. Put me in line. I have another individual that is interested in my block (raised cam version), and if he's still "in" I would make the swap. With this block I can pretty much swap out my rotating assembly and go vs. all the work with my raised cam block.

I'll get in touch with him today and get back to you as soon as I can.

The buyer I had in line for mine fell through. I could put mine up for sale and see what happens, but I don't want to hold up your sale. Keep me in mind if no one else takes it. I'll post mine for sale and see what happens, but I hate to think of mine selling and then yours is not available. If some one steps up feel free to take me off the list.

    Thanks,
    Steve

The Pistons are Diamond, the con rods are made by Oliver and the crank is a stock Buick crank offset ground to a 2.100 journal. The engine has 10 dyno pulls and 8 passes down the track. every thing is still in great shape. The bore is only 4.380 gives a lot of room for a larger piston.

The engine made 640 HP and 626 torque with stage one heads, B4B and ported exhaust manifolds. The camshaft was small 232/236 @ .050 with .620 lift ground on a 116 LSA. The combination idled at 850 and made 15 plus inches of vacuum. The only thing for sale is the block or I would be willing to sell Crank, Rods, Pistons with the Block. Your choice. The block is capable of handling a lot more HP, the combo I built was for a stock apearing set up. I can machine the block for the 54 mm Ford cam set up.
Let me know what you are interested in.

I heard you were in BG last year with it. Why didnt you run it?

I Did run it, it went a best of 10.87 @ 122 mph and then I had a couple of Hyd roller lifters that were having a problem. so I stopped running it. I am going Stg2 with my other aluminum block. The rest of the event I worked with Mike Modena in helping him when the Super 16 event.
