I've got a 307 in my Rivi and I'm working on puttin' in a small tach. I see tach labeled on the distributor and realize thats where my one wire needs to go. My question: Do I need a special plug to put the wire in there or can I just sorta put it up there... Also, where is the best place under the hood to ground a wire? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

    Jon,
You don't really need the special connector, but you should use some kind of crimped on connector that will fit the single spade lug.( Tach connection on HEI) If you want the right one, you could probably get it in a boneyard, or Year One sells it under part #L00515. (8.95)

I picked up a female blade plug and it fits like a charm... My friend did that on his Chevelle 350... But who knows if mine will work! I guess I'll see when I get home from work!
