Anyone ordered taillight lens(s) from The Parts Place? Any thoughts of the quality from them on the other stuff they sell? I'm looking at a few things to get ( a/c condenser, taillight lenses, door handle mechanism) and was wondering to the quality for a weekend cruiser level.

    Thanks!!

I have bought a few items from The Parts Place and they have been fine for a driver. I would guess only one company makes a replacement lens. If its cheap, then it may be a second (small flaw).

I bought the repro. lenses for my 71. They look mint to me. The only difference I saw was the were missing the silver pinstripe on the lenses. I took out my paint-pen and corrected that small problem... Ron

The ones got for 1970 I thought were quite nice.

I've bought a pair for a 1970.... Look VERY NICE. However they have not been installed because the car is still in Resto mode. So... I can't make a comment on fitment.

I bought a pair of 71 tail lenses from the Parts Place not too long ago. When the items arrived with scratches and trim paint issues I called to arrange for replacements. It then got real interesting. They told me it was common to have quality issues but that just the way it is! They then stated they would be happy to replace what I had bought only if I paid the return and cost of shipping for the replacement items. Even then they wouldn't guarantee that they would check the replacement items for issues. I would never deal with them again but if you must they commonly sell the less than perfect lenses on Ebay! You can do a Google search and see their reviews

I think CARS.com has them also. I can't speak to their quality though.

Was wondering if anyone's had any experience with them? Like you, I need some other stuff too... Water pump, thermostat, heater/bypass hoses, clamps, blah blah.

Plus the shipping to Canada usually costs roughly one arm, plus one leg.

I have bought from just about every Buick related site there is and I woudn't say it is a crapshoot, but Most everything is "close", some fit perfect, some you wonder what the hell they were thinking. Overall I have been satsfied, but it is sometimes a hassle to deal with returns. I will say, Year one has the best return policy, but their parts are probably more hit and miss..hope this helps :Do No:
