WAs wondering if one of you guys could make a drawing on where my 4 candles should be placed if I want to jack my buick with weight off the wheels.

Don't feel like going for trial and errors...heard way too many horros stories about misplaced candles

This would be for a prolonged storage/suspension rebuild purposes.

Oh and I jsut read it in another thread, What does "recurving a distributor" implies

Thanks in advance O knowledgeables ones :)

As RPM increases, the point (in relation to the crankshaft) that the spark fires must happen sooner to allow enough time for the mixture to burn. The advance curve on the distributor controls this, through springs and/or weights (mechanical adv) or engine vacuum (vacuum adv). Recurving is simply changing the curve to better suit your needs.
Generally timing advance from a few degrees (10, give or take) at idle to anywhere from 25 to 40 total advance somewhere in the midrange (and the engine maintains that amount of timing advance).

(This is based mostly on things I've read, so please correct me if anything is wrong)

    Jackstands yes.

Whre exactly on the framerails ? last time I tred I put them on the rail right behind the font wheels and the car seemed like it was bending so I stopped the process.

And just to make sure: Framerails are those beam that goes from the back to the front of the car right ?

Yes, thats correct. I really dont think you'll damage anything by putting the jack stands there. The frames are supposed to flex a little bit.
