I made a great find but a retarded owner. anyway, here's the story: I was driving on the outskirts of town(on "hilton rd.) when I saw an old green car hiding a little bit behind the weeds. I asked my grandpa if we could pull over and take a look at it. I was curious to see what it was. When we got up to it, It didn't take me a second to realize that it was a '76 buick century like mine! Wow, I was really excited. It was a light metallic tealis-green color with white interior. Really nice. 100 mph speedo. column shift. power options (not windows). bench seats. original radio. This car was bone stock. And it had everything like mine except for the color combo. it was a two door too. The mileage read 64,346 if i remember correctly. The car is in really bad shape though. rust on the front fenders and quarter panels, around the wheel wells and stuff. broken glass. interior appeared as if only 2 cuts were made. headliner was perfect. so was the dash. and there was more than enough body parts in good shape to make the car an excellent donor(parts) car. After we looked, I said we have to find the owner to this and ask him about it. The first house we saw we went to and asked. They said the owners of it lived in the wooded area behind the car. We went back there and found the owner. Weasked him about the car. The mileage was correct he said. 64,300 miles. He said he bought it new in '76 and trashed it in '99. He said the 231 V6 had a rod go out and he parked it in 99 and let it sit there ever since. He said he took the drivetrain, tranny, and a few emblems and sold them. Then he said he just let the rest sit and stay. I asked him if he would be willing to sell it. he said he wouldnt sell it if he got a million bucks for it. That's what ticked me off. he said he had rather see it sit there and rust than to see somebody take it and use it for something. What a jerk:af: :af: :af: I said I own a red one of them and said if it ever had a rod or something go out, I would get it fixed, and not let a good car sit and rust like a total idiotic retard!!!! he said well thats your decision. And as I left I said, And you've made one of the most retarded and worst decisions I've ever seen in my whole life:af: As we left I told my grandpa that there is some people out here in this world that don't know what to do if they have a good car. that just goes to show you that some people would rather be wasteful than to be helpful! I know where a red car is identical to mine in the junkyard, so I still have a good resource for parts in my future restoration project:beer Stuff like that make the world worser than it already is:error: :spank:

The car obvoiusly didn't like that old jerk too much either, or it wouldn't have crapped out on him. :Brow:

Probably lack of maintenence. If that cars been sitting in the woods for 5 years, it's probably junk anyways.:Smarty:

    Don't worry, there'll be others!:)
