Anyone use Tamraz's sheet metal? I want to purchase a floor from them and was wondering what anyone's experience has been with it, as far as fitment and quality goes. Thanks.
I ordered 2 full trunk pans on the 10th. From Tamaraz who is in Chicago area for 1967 skylark and They did have them in stock - this was a Friday and asked the man if I could picked them up since I was only 3-4 hours away and would their be sales tax he said yes 8% Illn. sales tax if I pick up(on almost $1,100)so I told him to ship them and when would they get to me.He said they should be there by next Tuesday or Wed. I thought that was great. Well By the following Friday no panels :rant: yet so I called Tamaraz and spoke to a man who said the 1st. sales man should have never promissed me they would be there by that time and he would review our previous taped conversation and if what I said was true he woul repremand 1st. salesman(like that mattered to me)So I asked this guy when will they get to me???He said they should be there by next Thrs. I said OK-- Well the following Friday comes(14 days since ordering) and still no panels so I call and talk to 2nd. sales person and ask him to check statis on my order.He does and comes back and says he is sorry but there was a mix up.Tamaraz only had 1 of the 2 pANELS IN STOCK AND the other is comming from Goodmark and when it gets here from down South they will send them out to me -which will be next tuesday.I told them I have already been waiting 2 weeks and would apreciate if they could send the 1-in stock because I need it now and that I was in no hurry for the 2nd. and did not care when 2nd. arrived.The sales man said that they would loose $$$$$ if they had to ship seperatly but he would talk to his superiors and he would call and let me know what they said.I never got a call from anyone and so I called this afternoon and asked to speak with 2nd. salesman again.He said he put all info. on his superiors desk last week and the superior was suppose to talk to me but he did not call me to tell me they would not send seperatly and he is off this week I ask him what is the status as of now with my order.He says there has been mix up again with Goodmark and they have a representive down South fixing problem and my 2nd. panel still has not been sent to them yet .I tell him it has been 21 days today when then is my order gonna be sent?????:rant: :rant: :rant:He tells me 2nd. panel should be at their warehouse by next Tuesday and if it is not they will at least send the panel they have and he is very sure that delivery of at least 1 panel to my office by next Friday (28 days after ordering if it comes next Friday)I checked E-bay tonight and TAMARAZ shows 10 trunk panels available for 1967 skylark.I was very excited when found out they came out with 1-piece trunk pan for 67 skylark.After putting couple of 7-pice trunk pans in it is a LOT of work finally getting trunk to look acceptable.These 1-piece panels will save a lot of work (if I ever get them).OK I am done venting ou: and did not mean drag on with long story just thought I would let you know my dealing with TAMARAZ so far :af: :af: :af: mike L.
At the time did not know Goodmark sold them and saving $120 a panel x 2(trying to save a :dollar: )but if I knew I would of had all this *&^^% I would have ou:
I have purchased several items from them. NO problems on anything, infact I liked dealing with them fast shipping and a fair price.
I have to say that I like the product that they sent me. I ordered a 3 piece trunk pan set with tank braces and they were shipped extremely fast. I am outside of Buffalo, NY and they are in Chicago. But, unlike the 67' my parts are probably a little more readily available for a 72'.
