I think Mr. Kise has pretty well explained what the Commander 950 ECU is capable of.

The only fuel injection system that I offer is the Multi Port variety Due to the lack of a single plane intake, I really haven't explored it for the 350. 455 kits are available with pricing similar to Chevy. Can be done outright or on an exchange basis with your single plane intake.

As far as blowers are concerned. 425 & 455 roots blower kits already exist. 350 would have to be custom a la Mr. Kise's. But since neither I nor most of the people I polled have a desire to cut up the hood, I elected to develop centrifugal kits.

Modern centrifugal superchargers are very reliable, run quietly, consume less horsepower, put less load on the crank snout, produce more boost, are easier to intercool, and run much, much cooler than roots blowers. Generally more streetable.

However, roots blowers do produce boost instantly and have a definite old school visual appeal.

Michael, I really look foward to seeing how your project works out. Years ago I remember a Weiand 144 low profile blower that was nearly short enough to fit under the hood of a stock 60's Mustang, is there any chance such a blower would clear the GM A body hoods. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

    Mike,
I did not know you offer Fuel injection kits also along with your centrifugal blower kits. I am fairly new to the site so that is probably why. The main reason that I went with the roots style is because that is what I work with all the time and working for Holley the parts are easy to get. The hood clearance with this small blower would probably be fine if there was a dedicated manifold for the engine. That would make it lower profile. As it is right now with the stock intake and carb with 1" spacer I have about 8.5" from the air horn of the carb and the hood (hood is not cut yet). It will be close but I will have to mock it up after I get the stuff done. It just may clear with one of the Holley HiTek air cleaners. The small 144 blowers will fit on a SBC in a Chevelle with a stock flat hood. Either way it works out the Buick ram air style air cleaner will not work.
    Thanks, Mike Kise

    2004r be careful

I run a 200 4r with a 3:42 posi in my 70 350 skylark and it fries the tires through first gear. With a 455 you may have to run slicks on the street just to get a little hook ha ha. If you don't overgear the rear axle it should be great. If you are going to pound on it have someone who knows the 200 4r go through it.
