I searched, and of course could have missed a thread, but Th-350 is a tough search, at least for me. I have a 1977 Regal (350 engine) , checked the pan, definitely a TH-350...sigh...anyways, I was going to use and old sealed Fram gasket and filter I found at an estate sale. Fortunately, I was trying to flatten out the gasket that was rolled up for many years (Dextron ll was mentioned as the fluid to use, how long has it been since it was out on the market?) cork one...and it broke. Glad I hadn't dropped the pan yet! I have a stock pan, car has 101 K on it now. A little knowledge can be dangerous...I was checking out what amazon though was right for my car. Just got more confused, so many to choose from, one gasket I saw was much more expensive than the others, it was blue, around $30 (Hmm, should have bookmarked it, now can't find it)everyone was raving about it, but one person said using a stock pan, the gasket was so much thicker that the OEM bolts no longer worked...really? well, I did notice other reviews were on newer pans... so, I come to the experts, I still have the "new" filter from fram, unless people say there is a much better filter to get...I will stick with that....but, what gasket to use? thanks!
First, all Dexron is backwards compatible, so you can use Dexron 6 with no problem. Second, any cork gasket will be fine. Go to rockauto.com and look up your car. There are lots of choices. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...77,transmission-automatic,oil+pan+gasket,8612 It isn’t a complicated job.
