My transmission is been acting funny. It no longer has a sense of engine load so when I'm cruising on the highway then floor it the transmission won't down shift:confused:. I recently upgraded to a 4 barrel manifold a couple days ago and I have inspected all vacuum lines and they appear fine.

If this the modulator, could someone tell how to correctly replace it?

    Thanks

Did the problem start when you changed carburetors ? If so you robably have the kickdown cable out of adjustment .

Acually yes, I didn't know it had a kickdown cable. How do you adjust?

Make sure the cable hasn't snapped. It attaches to the gas pedal below the throttle cable. There is a clip on a rod passing through the gas pedal linkage. You slide the clip towards the gas pedal and slowly floor the pedal (engine off). It self adjusts. The idea is for the cable to reach the end of it's travel at full throttle.
