I have an old TH400 converter cover buried deep in my storage unit (somewhere). I also have a leak coming from either the rear main seal or the rear of the oil pain, right where the crank is. Before I go spend two hours looking for my cover, I'd like to know if the cover, when installed, goes over the lip of the oil pan (which would catch my oil leak) or does it sit behind the oil pan. Anyone know?
