Hello everyone. I was installing a B&M shift kit in my TH400 and when I was pulling off the valve body and governor tubes, I noticed a little screen laying where the tubes go to the tranny. (I was working on it with the transmission out of the truck and upside down).

I called B&M and they don't have a clue. Talked to some other people and they said it goes to one of those tubes but can't remember which one.

I was just wondering if anyone here knew which tube this filter goes too.

    Thanks in advance

    fast-gs what to do now?

the filter goes into the tube hole closes to the output shaft in the case not the valve body. the filter screen point goes inside the tube. push the screen into the hole, then tap the tubes in.

I was pretty sure it went in the tube hole to the case, but I just don't know which hole it goes in. Or is there supposed to be 2 filters, 1 for each tube?

read my previous post, it goes into the tube hole closes to the output shaft in the case. you only use one filter. the reason is, its because thats the gov. feed and no dirt should get into the gov. otherwise it will stick right away.
