Sincere thank you's to all who attended and put alot of hard work into the chapter christmas party on Saturday at Goeff Ketchum's shop, it was so great to see all of my Buick pals again, and meeting some new people. Bobb, it was REALLY good to see you getting well and being your good ol' self, and from personal sight, I can say to everyone that Mr. Mackley's poor race car looks alot more scary in person than it does in photos. Geoff, thanks for letting us party in your shop and have a great time, Amy, Jamie, Roberta and anyone else that worked on this behind the scenes, thank you so much, and Rod and Dannie, thanks for letting me ride up with you. As with many good things it was over way to fast, the 3 pork dish choices( I think it was Dewey who did it up) was the best, very tasty! Just as much of a feast (for the eyes) was the first cast race block that was brought for all to see, very beefy! A truly special treat for all in attendance, the distance traveler list included many notorious names, including Doug Hecker (who's stories and jokes kept us talking until 1:30 in the morning) Lawrence Clark (all smiles looking at the new block) Rod Hendrickson (wants to lean on this one) John and Amy Stevens, as well as Bill Burton from Indiana who are all always fun to be with, the list goes on and on with many of the usual suspects from Michigan as well, to all who were there, thank you for a memorable evening, anyone who wasn't there, all I can say is, it doesn't get any better, something tells me 05' is going to be a great Buick year. Shane :3gears: :beer  :Brow:

I am not in the loop anymore as far as knowing the guys that really race, but I too was VERY impressed by the new block. This should level the playing field for the guys that have had to bump heads with all the other racers with access to after market units. It was a GREAT party ,and it seems that everone had a great time renewing aquaintances. After seeing Bobbs car,and seeing how well he is doing, I have to believe he is the luckiest man on the planet. Bobb said in our conversation something that should be passed on:" I'm glad if it had to happen , it happened to me , because there are many people that did not have cars with enough protection. This may save someones life" I think he is right , as I talked to a lot of the people at the party, and the most common statement was" my car is getting a full cage this winter" :beer :beer :3gears: :beer :beer
