Lon, it took everybit of savings I had at the time working @ Kroger full time and school full time. No rest for the wicked! Just paint and bodywork while I was in college. I actually bought the GSX from a good friend of mine. I paid off his loan on it and bought a set of tires. It was pretty well known in Columbus area as the Buick Show Car back in the day as it was an Immke car and they always seemed to have something special hanging around. The car that came off the used car lot was the Black GSX. Another friend bought it from a dinky used car lot in Circleville, OH just ahead of Jim Jones. My dad bought it from Marty (my other friend) a few years later when he decided to re-enroll at OSU. I inherited from my dad when he passed in 2000. Richard Lasseter hung the "Prototype" name back in the early 80's on the car. I had always called it a Factory Show Car.
Zach, No doubt. How I met Zach. We were down at the GS Nats one year and Ritchie & I went to the grocery store and saw this beautiful 71 Stratomist Blue GSX in the parking lot. It was the first one I ever saw and we were all over it. Out of the store comes Zach with two arms full of groceries and I think a case of water. Well we started talking, and kept it up for probably a good half hour. If you ever meet Zach he is a really nice guy and will not do anything to hurt your feelings, so he just stood there with the groceries while we talked. After a while he finally did put them down. To be honest it’s all Zach’s fault that I bought my 71 Blue GSX. After I saw his car I knew what I had to have. Duane

After reading about the interior in Brad's car, I'm wondering if there are pictures on the board somewhere?
Here’s a video feature: https://www.google.com/search?q=bra...ate=ive&vld=cid:2e48669a,vid:eruLkYHow2E,st:0 Patrick
I was hoping someone would post the video. It shows some good pics of the interior. In one shot, where they pan across the steering wheel onto the dash, you can see where the stitches do not continue across the spoke area. Duane
I don’t think I have any posted here. There might be some from when I had it at a GSCA or BPG event, but I have no idea where they would be. I will have to see what I have at home. Brad may have a few pics from when the guys were “teasing me”. Duane
Yeah, It looks just like that but with a black interior. Duane PS, Zach I plan on shipping your decal tomorrow. I am going to send it by UPS and you will need to sign for it.
Actually mine looks a little different. It has an in-dash tach, black rocker panel stripes, and upper peak moldings on the sides only, not across the trunk. Duane
I found 3 pics of when I had the car at the Allentown Concours d’elegance show. Those shows are pretty cool and are invitational only, so it is a really big thing to be invited to one. More on that later. I will post some pics up tonight. Duane
Mine is a Stage 1 automatic with a black deluxe front bench with armrest interior, with AC, a rally steering wheel, and roll up windows. I think it also has an AM-FM. I don’t think it originally came with a front spoiler, but I had an original 71-72 spoiler so I put it on. Duane
