    1964 Mercury Montclair Maurader 2dr 2nd owner 72K Runs gd $3000 425-213-6452

    Additional information:
Moving to rural Alaska forces sale! This is a classy, big, beautiful car perfect for driving and/or restoring. We are the second owners, 72K miles are original, including the strong 390 V8 and merc-o-matic tranny, all numbers match. The car is in stock condition with minimal damage exterior (Some repair/slight rust dots, paint oxidized, one missing hubcap, one emblem missing). The interior is black and near perfect (one seam needs sewed, one visor needs recovered, fair carpet). All electrical, lights, indicators are in working order. The car was purchased new in eastern Washington and remains there to this day (Omak). The Mercury Montclair Maurader 2-door fastback won the Pikes Peak race in 1964 and a new version of the vehicle is being made today (retro style). The 1964 MSRP was just under $3,000. Current value is up to $9,000 (available on the NADA website). If you would like more pictures or have questions please call/ e-mail Stephanie or Tony 509-826-2122 or 425-213-6452

    got one

made a 7hr round trip today and got a car, original paint, fresh engine, interior is mix of orig. and repro, just needs the correct carb and dist, and it'll be ready to run, probably new exhaust also. Lets take a pole here, the paint is original looks pretty good for 35 yrs old,but its got some chips and scrapes, and is litely faded in a few spots, should i repaint or leave it alone,i can't decide, two of my friends say leave it alone, whats everyone think?

    Original

    Leave it alone!
Originals possess a certain mystique that a restored car will never have.
Even with some minor flaws here and there, an original car tells a more
    interesting story, in my opinion.

    Long drives and ugly cars

Took a long drive in 2002 ,Vancouver to Cleveland, and bought this gem.
Was ready to sell it and throw in the trailer by the time we were in Toledo on the way back.

I'd say something here, but Brian would accuse me of highjacking this thread, too.  Be careful posting pics of oldsmobiles, even gorgeous ones like this. How many 71 442 W30 convertibles (all colors, options, transmissions, interior colors, etc.............) 200? :TU: :TU: :TU:

    71 W-30 production

There were 110 442 converts built in 1971 with the W-30 option. 32 had 4 speeds and 78 had automatics. Breakdown on colors is fairly uniform accross red, blue, green and silver. Rare colors are black, sienna and sable.
