illmatrix 65 RIVVY WITH A NAILHEAD

After spending a few extra bucks on my Riviera winterizing it. I noticed the OLD original keys were pretty weak looking. And decided to make a run to the hardware shop to get a set and check out man stuff. They tell me the key is rare, and don't have an exact match, a slightly larger groove in the key, so he cut me a key that was "close" as he put it. Well I tried the key, needless to say it was a TIGHT fit. So I got a refund and got ahold of a locksmith who sells original keys at what he claims is a deal at 25 bucks a piece. I could have reached out and slapped that old man. But I refrained, thanks to anger classes. I found a set for 4$ on ebay. What a crock! 2 keys @ 4$ vs 1 key @ 25$. Now Im no mathmetician, but it does not add up.:af: Has anyone had trouble getting keys for classic sixties Buicks? Its pathetic... the locksmith had more keys than that guy in Matrix reloaded and wants 25$ a key?! All the other locksmiths are mobile in my town and charge an hourly rate on top of keys and services. I need to change professions!! Its robbery!:spank: And one added note the "riviera keys" and gm keys are the same style and writing on them. Cuz 3 guys are bidding like crazy on the keys on ebay and they are no different than the gm set.later!

Speaking of the drop top, I've got it almost totally stripped.....just a few things on the underside left. Should have the body off the frame in a day or two!:TU: :bglasses:
