The switch in the back of the ac compressor

    What is it High pressure switch? I bought a rebuilt compressor with the same numbers on the back 6556405 and everythings the same except the spot where the switch goes see pics below. Where can I buy High pressure switches from?

    Can I run w/o it an use the plug to seal it off

    Found. Out its called a superheat switch. Superheat- heat added after the change of state from liquid to a vapor.
