Jeff your car looks great. Is your car silver mist? Thats the color I'm painting mine cuz its the same as 70 cortez silver. Mine should be done in about a month and a half. Where's SC&C located and how good is there suspension.

The car was painted when I bought it, so I don't know what color it is.
SC&C is Savitske Classic and Custom in PA. They are not a parts manufacturer, but a dealer. Marcus, the owner, is very knowledgeable and will spend plenty of phone time with you exploring your options and explaining things. The are so many companies making A-body parts, there is a sea of marketing bs out there. I am pleased with how my car turned out. It handles like a corvette. I drive it on the street, drag race it, and autocross it.
The adjustable shocks I bought from them are the best money I ever spent on a car.

Voxx brand, Misano are the type. They are an entry level cast wheel I bought from Discount Tire. I have tri shield vinyl decals covering the factory logos, so people are mystified as to what they are.

    Hi Matt

that car looks familier. If your gonna run 17x8 you shouldn't have any rubbing issues. just ck your back spacing, there is plenty of room in back and the only thing to watch out for in the front is rubbing on the outer fender lip. but with only an 8 inch rim and a 235 size tire there is good room. i plan on running a 305/35 in the back when the rear tire wear out which won't take long with all the people asking me to do burnouts at all the car showes. taht tire will fit without any issues in back with the right offset. i would have gotten a 6 inch back space for the fornts if they offered it, but the most i could get was 5.5. If you are lowering the car with progressive springs there shouldn't be to much suspension travel which will help with possible rubbing on the front with it being lowered. Also run a good shock. I trimed my inner fender a little because i have currently have stock big block springs that i cut one coil off and they have a fair amount of suspension. so i added poly-spring donutes/spacers they use in stock cars to change the spring rate and now there is a lot less suspension travel and i have no rubbing at all. it never rubbed lock to lock. I also run kyb shocks. The rear springs are stock. If you want to see other pics of the stance let me know. I've also added a front spoiler and halo headlights i love the pro-touring look and i beat the snot out of it. the big block and 200-4r help too.

Time to wake this thread up again....

I am in a 69...anyone have pics of a bigger rim pro tour combo on one? I have liked this look for years...(younger generation) and it seems to be the way new muscle is going....

    Great thread!

I'm planning on either TT2's or Boss 338's, 18x8 front & 18x9.5 rear. Already have the tires, 245/45/18's & 275/40/18's. I think the extra inch in diameter the 18's have fills the wheel wells better on the 70-72 A-bodies vs. 17's. Just my opinion though.

Joe, your 'vert looks awesome w/ the TT2's. Talk about motivational!

Dan, I thought I was the only one in the world building an LT1 powered Skylark! Glad I'm not alone!

Phil It really *is* a 350...

I think that if I were to buy an aftermarket wheel the largest I'd go is 18-inch. I've seen too many low profile hula-hoops on the side of the road, usually those with the 2" sidewall height that were once sitting on Tonka wheels. :Dou:

X2 on the 18s... they are just the right wheel and tire combo. A combo of a big wheel and a thick tire. :3gears:
