I have always found it interesting that a state full of liberals who demand that they have the right to do anything they want, no matter how sick or perverted it might be, are also living in the most regulated state in America, where even working on your own car can be a felony. I feel sorry ricers too. If they want to put 20 or 30 grand into a 4 cyl car; more power to them! THey shouldnt get tickets for that! The cops are just jealous they dont have duals on their squad cars!

using that logic wouldn't it make sense to be citing owners of new vettes and other cars that obviously have far more power than is needed for everyday driving?

 

I've got no problems with them surrounding an actual illegal street race, but this is very much big brother in action.

Then again, the vast majority of tickets issued are about revenue and not about safety anyway, so this isn't that much of a reach given the mindset already at work.
