Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Will soon be time for a lot of us to drag our cars out of hibernation and give them a dusting and a clean up. Plus, I like to apply dressing to the tires to freshen them up a bit. I don't like the wet n shiny look on them so I use Olive Oil (Extra Virgin) to do the job. Looks great and I can fry the tires when ever I want to.

What do you gals & guys use?

I use nothing. After trying everything around, I just like clean rubber and will use Westleys for that. The Stoner's stuff is ok. Back in the 60's, there was some stuff that was like a black wax, it came in a tin like shoe polish. It was GREAT stuff, didn't sling, didn't make the tires crack, easy to apply and lasted a long time.

I used Black Magic Low Gloss Tire dressing. Very close to natural rubber look (clean, new tire).

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. I gives the tire a nice deep black color without being wet looking.

Also works well on rubber floor mats and even vinyl seats...... Just don't make a hard corner without your seatbelt on.

:Dou: Too slippery, must stick with VHT dressing.

    +1. Greatest. Stuff. Ever.

Works wonders on faded plastic (for a quick fix) and rubber seals as well.

Griot's vinyl/rubber dressing works well. Leaves a nice satin finish with no residue.

Same here, been using 303 Aerospace Protectant for many years now. I like it because it is not too wet looking. I buy it at Camping World.
