Very nice, I'm envious, looks like a sculpture and belongs in some museum somewhere. Am going to be waiting for some dyno results and fast et's. gary
Lookin nasty Gary can't wait to see some #s Looks like some SERIOUS work went into the intake,..Stitches look so badass Marcella,...I hear ya man, big baller!!
Gary if it does run up to your expectations I will be more than glad to let you donate to engine bay of my car. I will be more than glad to punish it and teach to not behave so badly for you. Lol. Can't wait to see it run in your car. What's the total cubes
I would put that in my kitchen. Nice piece. I hope to make a front cover like that, but wings on it as a front plate.
Um, is that gonna fit under your Hood? Looks great Gary, Keep pushing the Buick envelope!! I still have your old hood if you need it back.
I should have held out on a set of those valve covers... I'd love one of those oil pans too...But,my budget is done for this year..
The combo ... The parts were selected based on the results of a friend's Pontiac for multiple reasons. Mostly based on the freakish performance he achieved with an Edelbrock Performer head. The limitations of our Buick heads are very similar to what they faced with his Pontiac before John Marcella started pushing that envelope. At some point Scott Brown had John work a Buick head. The results showed promise so with Scott facilitating and Mike Leech blazing the R&D trail I had a game plan There are a few things left on the table but I'm going to say that this is about a 90% effort. It's a 4.500 bore, 4.400 stroke 560 cubic inch NA deal I started the belt drive and some of my many talented friends put the finishing touches on it. Manifold and heads as mentioned above are designed and finished by Marcella/Brown Headers by Daren Kravec are SS and start at 2 1/4" and step up into the mega phone collectors. I probably won't run mufflers any more. For many reasons I stayed with a steel rod from Carillo and used CP pistons Along with the obvious TA also supplied the Crower crank and misc. trinkets. I may get more specific after it goes down the track.
Since its yours No doubt it will be first class, clean and fast. Glad you didnt go Chevy. Looking forward to seeing you and the car again in BG. Always admired you and your efforts.
Likewise Jim ... Thanks for the kind words. It's motivating to hear from someone who "notices" the details.
Thanks Bruce! Close only starts to describe it. But that's in the past now. Pretty confident that my car will only have a Buick in it as long as I own it. How fast it is will be the only question.
