I took my 71 GS 455 to Barona's eighth mile dragstrip on 2/25/06. Even with the bypass sending all my boost into the atmosphere it still ran a 6.95 at 100.62 in eighth. Car is has an 8.84 to 1 motor and an incredibly small camshaft, but is extremely efficient. Look at video and tell me what you think. Will be a feature car in an upcoming CarCraft very soon. Will hopefully run very low sixes when I take it back out. 6.30 or better would be 9s in the quarter. This is truly a streetcar that has a Gear Vendors that I can drive anywhere. I changed out my bypass and the car is now unreal. Put in link below to see car. http://media.putfile.com/Vortech-Supercharged-Buick-GS
VERY NICE!! I'd love to hear the full specs of your car! What does a 6.95 translate to in the 1/4 mile? Gotta be in the 10's.
very nice... :TU: :beer I noticed you still have the mismatched screws still on the rear plate...GOOD ! keep em that way in spite of that fella on the pontiac forums comments about em... btw...what did that vortex setup $et you back??
Getting there.... Gary said to give him a call once you get it "tuned-up". He'll even put the "small-pills" in so he wouldn't beat you too bad in his convertible.
Thanks, I think the car did quite well without making boost. Those mismatched screws will stay on together and I think I might sell sets of those to the Pontiac guys. Gary, I am gunning for you so you had better get a 100 gallon tank and convert it to hold nitrous because you will need it. :Brow:
Oh yes, I love a challenge!!!! I think I can just get by with the 10 lb. bottle, no need for 100 gallons, but that would be a Big Can Of Whoop A$$ to open up on ya!! Thinking back, i think you're one up on me.................Yes, my wife took that great picture. Gary G.
The rims are Weld Draglites. Thanks for the compliments. Gary, don't make me post the picture I have of us racing. :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
