torque plate 72 455

    picki8ng up my motor tomorrow couple of questions. Does using torque plate make much of a difference,i didnt use one block is bored and honed already.Cam bearings installed ,dont think that their grooved should i change them or leave them.The block isnt decked should i have it done or let it go as is,if i get it decked will cam bearing / freeze plugs need to come out. many more questions to come but i figured id start with these
    who would you recommend in the chicago area to finish machine work and balancing any comments appreciated thanks chris

    Torque plate is important because these blocks will move around too much when you torque down the head. Grooved cam bearings are the way to go for sure. Decking is also a good idea.
