Tranmission help

    I have a 65 skylark it drives ok transmission shifts ok but if I get on the gas a little there seams to hesitate with a little thump noise I let of and it drives to normal every time I drive normal its ok went up a hill happened a little let of gas it went away Any thoughs

    Trans mount ok? Motor mounts ok?

    Ya it's tight it's a 300 super turbine

    That should be a switch pitch trans where the throttle cable at the carb has a connector with wires and the more you push on the throttle it will stall more from the torgue convertor. Do you have wires at the linkage at the carb?

    Ron's question about the rear trans mount is a good one. If you haven't already, get under the car and inspect it. It may look fine, but give the output housing some serious pushing upward. Gravity makes it all look good, so you need to do some shoving to see what's up.

    I have been driving for four months no problems at all had some one look at it today they look for wires on the drivers side at a module module was there but no wires

    Not at the Modulator, at the carberator. Where the throttle linkage goes to the carb there is wires there on the drivers side of the carborator.

    I will have to look never notice it I had a new steering column. Put in yesterday but it was fine all day till about 3:00

    No, it will look like this.

    Not sure all ST300's were switch pitch. The electrical plug on the driver's side of the transmission will have 2 wires if it is a switch pitch.

    I look today I found that set up with a two wire connection wasn't sure where it went I know now never acted up before but when it's cold it doesn't do it i don't know if not having it on the tranny was doing more work and its getting tired
