Hey Guys , after winter storage may car has a noticeable wine as you drive it. Turbo 400 with a shift kit and also Art Carr 3500 stall speed. Runs strong and shifts through the gears fine. I am going to drop the pan and get a new filter and fluid. Anything I should look for other than metal in the pan/filter ? U joints , drive shaft and everything else seems in order , had it up on the lift today. Thanks for any insight

does it make the whine in gear only or always ?

if its make the noise only when in gear I believe possible converter issue or pump working harder which also can be caused by clogged cooler lines

BUT drop that pan and see whats in there ....change that oil first ....keep it simple with the basics
Flush out them cooling lines while your at it and also check on that o-ring on the filter tube that goes into the case ,
many guys use more than one o ring bcs of filter flopping around .

And if the noise persists then take it in to a trans place to get trans pressure tested
