These tires are going on a `68 GTO that is unlikely to see more than 100 miles a year for the rest of it's life. Even if I put new ones on it now there is no way it will get new tires every 6 years. There will be no dragstrip use and no interstate driving, just an occasional trip to cruise nights and such. I've seen the article before about the 6 year old tires but in this case it doesn't bother me one bit, but thanks everyone for your concern.
