The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. Trim Removal

    I know I haven't been on here contributing much lately and I apologize. But, the weather is getting nice and I've found myself in the garage a lot, so here I am.

    I made a new years resolution to paint the Apollo or sell it (I've had it for 11 years in it's crap paint condition). I want to start peeling the trim off and I have a few pieces that I know will be difficult and hard to replace if I screw them up.

    1. The rain gutter chrome. I know this isn't screwed in, but does anyone have a trick to getting this off so it doesn't kink? I'm afraid and want it on my new paint.

    2. The chrome around the windshield. When I removed the chrome aound the back glass, I did it with a small screwdriver and just pried gently. Will the windshield trim remove in the same way?

    I appreciate any help. If I can ge tall the trim off I'll re-chrome it and just buy some new bumpers. I can't imagine the Apollo looking nice!!!!!!

    For the drip rail trim use an old fashioned bottle openner. Wrap some electrical tape around the end so it does not mar the trim. Work slowly from one end to the other. Should come right off.
    For the windshield trim there is a special tool. Should be available at any parts store. It looks like a "Y", with a handle and two prongs. You lay the tool flat on the glass (best to put a towel between the tool and the glass so you don't scratch it) and work one of the prongs up under the trim. Takes a bit of practice, but the idea is to use the end of the tool to un-snap the retaining clips, while you gently lift up on the trim. Go slow and be patient!

    When I use the bottle opener on the drip rail trim, should I pry it from the top or the bottom?

    btw...I'll do whatever to keep my glass right because it's almost impossible to replace for the hatchback (I've already replaced the rear)...thanks

    I've always pryed from the bottom, but I think either way will work. Try to see if the lip is more pronounced at the top or the bottom. If one lip is smaller, pry that side off.

    OK, I got the drip rail trim off...but not that easily. Next is how can I get this trim off around my back windows. I need to get it off easily cause I think the hatchback is th eonly model with roll-down rear windows, making the trim very hard t oreplace if i F it up.

    Looking at the parts illustration catalog itlooks like you will have to lower or remove the glass so that you can get to the few screws and clips that holds the moldings on, you also need to remove interior sail panels. I will check my body manuel to see if I can get a better illstration for you.
