Anyone know the "correct" color for the trunk latch on a 1970 GSX??
(The part that bolts to the underside of the decklid.)
Should it be the color of the body?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

All the ones I have removed from original cars had body color overspray on them. Maybe someone can provide better info.

Unlike the fender bolts, the trunk latch was installed by Fisher Body before the body was painted and as such, should be body color.

Sorry George, just had to kid you a little.... :TU:

No problem Brad. Based on my experience, just the lower "tongue" got body paint, rest is color a silver/zinc color.

George, You are correct that the trunk latch should have overspray on the top of the part. Just install the latch and paint the underneath of the deck lid, it will be fine. I was just giving you a little rib about the fender bolts... . Go back and re-read my reply.
