Trunk paint

    Is it very hard to paint a trunk? What is the best paint and method? Thanks Mark

    Hey Mark.

    Most important thing here is to get a base of low gloss black on the inner fender panels, and trunk floor before applying the trunk spray. If you try and "paint it" with spatter paint, more than likely you will end up with it being too thick..

    Duplicolor makes a fine product, that is what we use, and you can get it at Napa. 2 cans should be more than enough. Part Number- DM 109.

    nothing.. you can spray right over it..

    No real adhesion issues here..

    Jim,
    How come people use spatter paint in the trunk? Both my Electras have the body color sprayed in the trunk. Are a-bodies the cars that used spatter from the factory? :Do No:
