We've seen them on 70's for sure. Jason Line's convertible had it, my 70 Stage 1 has it and the GSX we recently did for Gordon Martin had it. I honestly don't know if any other Cars had it or other years??? I'd like to learn though so if anyone knows the deal on these please chime in! I haven't found much info on them in any of my Manuals. .
I have only seen that part on '70 model Skylark/GS cars. Perhaps earlier cars had it, but, non after 1970.
I believe you're correct. If I remember correctly Jason's GS was not a Flint Car? and I vaguely remember it being attached with screws. Mine is a Flint car and it had staples. .
