Rear Bumper / Trunk Seal for GM A Body Vehicles

This is the Rubber Seal that is stapled to the Rear Bumper Area and often overlooked.

These are 1.5″ wide by 56″ in length

We've seen them on 70's for sure. Jason Line's convertible had it, my 70 Stage 1 has it and the GSX we recently did for Gordon Martin had it.

I honestly don't know if any other Cars had it or other years??? I'd like to learn though so if anyone knows the deal on these please chime in! I haven't found much info on them in any of my Manuals.

I have only seen that part on '70 model Skylark/GS cars. Perhaps earlier cars had it, but, non after 1970.

I believe you're correct. If I remember correctly Jason's GS was not a Flint Car? and I vaguely remember it being attached with screws. Mine is a Flint car and it had staples.

70 only. I had a 70 Freemont car that was attached with small hex headed screws. Flint was staples.
