   Other than tail shaft length what is the difference between the 400 found in a 70 455 GS and a 400 out of a Wilcat, LasSabre, etc.o No:

   I think the govenor is set differently. maybe number of clutch plates, possibly a slight difference in the valve body. All things you could easily change during a rebuild.
