Hi I am installing a gas pedal assembly with kickdown for the turbo 400, i noticed that my wiring harness has the correct wiring already present .my question is where does the wire go from that point .i just would like to hook the kickdown switch the right way. thank for the help

One wire is 12v hot, coming from the bundled dash harness. The other also goes into the harness, and comes out of the harness on the engine side of the firewall, behind the brake booster, and drops down to the electric plug on the driver's side of the trans.

I'm changing to a big block and T350 to T400 conversion in my GS, silly question but I have never owned a T400 trans before so I'm a bit naive on T400's, but I bought a used TCI racing T400 from a guy and I see it has no kick down cable like my T350 had, there are 2 vacuum line diaphram connections, 1 at the back, 1 on the passenger side, is this how the kick down works? and do I connect it to manifold vacuum or carb vacuum?

The 400 kick down is the electrical plug on the drivers side. The vacume controls when it up shifts the kick down is about hitting it from 30 mph in high gear. Use manifold vacume on the modulator.

    i have a quick question.

What can i disconnect to keep the transmission from kicking down?

my friends has a problem and when he floors it in 3rd it will downshift to second at redline and then upshift and then downshift and then upshift... etc.

    what can solve that?

Sounds like maybe a valve body or other internal issue. The governor could also be sticking. Take it out from the side cover(small 4 screw square cover on passenger side. For the other question about vaccum fittings. Should only be one on a turbo 400 on the modulator. Tubes coming fro the trans case are just vents.
