i think the only difference is the planetary set up. and i bet all the lip seals are the same. as for the clutches and steels i bet theyre the same part number also just may be an extra in the direct. do you have it tore down yet?
The 475 has straight cut planetary gears. That's the only difference I remember. Should be the same as a 400.
I was asking for a friend. There's one on Craigslist over in thomasville pa. 1 thing I'd like I note is the where the modulator should be on it. There's what looks to me like a cable actuated one. Which makes sense since it was out of a diesel.
