Dont know. But in my line of thinking 2 tone would not be just a different color body and top but more like two different but complementing colors on the body itself. Like this I pulled off google

    Smokey15 and GranSportSedan like this.

Sorry, it doesn't cut it. The car must have two paint codes on the data plate, one for the body, the other for the roof.

I'm doing a painted half top on my suncoupe.

Don Colomb in Houston (GSJohnny's uncle) has a wicked '66 GS, yellow with a black painted roof. It ran high 11s in BG twenty or so years ago.
  5. I had a 66 GS post car that was white with a red painted roof and red interior. that was an odd combination

My first 66 GS was yellow with a black painted top. It is a 3 speed hdtp, I now use for parts. Bought it in 1975 and it was starting to get rough way back then.

If it is a D84 code on the regal it could be considered one paint code for bottom and one for top.

One of my favorite combos. But lemme let you in on a little secret: white or black match everything, so there's nothing odd about white with red. Would you say the same for red with white?

I'm not sure it qualifies as a muscle car as it is a skylark but I thought it very cool none the less.

My brother had a 64 442 that was white with red painted top and red interior, good combination!

I find a lot of people don't like that combo, but I think it's the bee's knees.

Chris, do you know the color of this car? Looks like a cream, but not quite Bamboo Cream, so what's left? White? Yet it doesn't seem like Arctic White either.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Lower color is Shell Beige. Our '65 Skylark convt. is that color as well

As Jerry said, lower color is Shell Beige. Upper color is Sahara Mist. Paint code is "VS". Interior is saddle. 3 colors I typically don't like, but man do they work well together on this car! 1 family owned, protecto plate, paperwork, 52k miles. Lady who owns it is super nice. First I have ever seen the car was at a show last Sunday. Chatted with her for a few minutes, asked her if I could look at the trunk, she handed me the keys and said look at whatever you want. Wish it was for sale, it would be in my garage for a long time.

    My contributions. A friend's 1972 442 W-30.

Flame Orange paint with white stripes & two tone painted roof (not a recommended color combo for obvious reasons). The roof color does not even match the stripe color. Who ordered this car?

That's not a two-tone car in the spirit of what we're talking about. If it was, then I'd be busy with just about every 1950s cruiser.
