I'm in need of a crappy cover for the master cylinder. I had my unit rebuilt by JW and it came with a nice fresh plated cover on it. I want to bleed the brakes on it soon, but don't want to scar up the new cover with the constant removing for refilling the reservoir. I'm looking for something in the cheap and easy catagory. Anyone have a cover in the junk pile? o No: Looks like this:
Don't have that style of cover but hear you on the scratches. If you are careful you can simply put a cloth under a screwdriver to prevent scratches and use that to take the retainers off. Put them back on by hand. Personally I would be more worried about crap getting into the reservoir with an old cover than a possible scratch. The assembly does look good!!! later Tim
