    ugly GS "as of now"

Ok,here are some preliminary pics of my 71. I know it doesn't look pretty yet but, wait till I post the before pics. What the pics don't show is the interior and underneath that you can eat off. I was mocking up the line lock to see where I had to mount it on the inner fender.I am also changing the red door for a better one.

    Chris,
Its going to be the original color:Arctic white.
Will also have a black vinyl top with a black bucket interior.Originally it had a tan color interior with bench seat.I am also painting the GSX stripes on it to suit my taste.was just going to refresh it but, took it a little farther. Now, I am glad I took the time to do it right!:TU

Here is a pic of my 71 when I got it.Yes,it was in that shed for 16 years.Needed alot of cleaning and work. Not a bad deal for $500.00.

Wow, looks like it has come a long way. I bet a good wash job did wonders for that car. It's amazing what you can find under all of that mold and dirt. Not a bad deal at all for $500 :beer

    Chris,
That was one of the better shots.Wait till you see the engine compartment shots and the other side. Was more than I bargained for but will be worth it in a couple months.Glad its a hobby and not my way of making a living. As soon as I get the pics scanned and resized I'll post some.

Good luck on the project Pat. I can attest to how much work you are in for and it takes some real persistance. It will be worth it though.
