  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy..   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete. The shipping will be factored on your delivery address and insurance. I will be sending the contact information all of you have sent me to Teresa at Kochs.     Ok,here are some preliminary pics of my 71. I know it doesn't look pretty yet but,wait till I post the before pics.What the pics don't show is the interior and underneath that you can eat off. I was mocking up the line lock to see where I had to mount it on the inner fender.I am also changing the red door for a better one.

    Its going to be the original color:Arctic white.
    Will also have a black vinyl top with a black bucket interior.Originally it had a tan color interior with bench seat.I am also painting the GSX stripes on it to suit my taste.was just going to refresh it but,took it a little farther.Now, I am glad I took the time to do it right!:TU

    Here is a pic of my 71 when I got it.Yes,it was in that shed for 16 years.Needed alot of cleaning and work.Not a bad deal for $500.00.

    Wow, looks like it has come a long way. I bet a good wash job did wonders for that car. It's amazing what you can find under all of that mold and dirt. Not a bad deal at all for $500 :beer

    That was one of the better shots.Wait till you see the engine compartment shots and the other side. Was more than I bargained for but will be worth it in a couple months.Glad its a hobby and not my way of making a living.:laugh: As soon as I get the pics scanned and resized I'll post some.
