I posted this under the "NAILHEAD " section but maybe this is the right place.I got some very useful tips but I still have the problem so I think this Section may give me more exposure to people that could help with the problem.
My Problem is this: My trans will not up shift, It starts off in first and moves to second okay but when it is time to hit (3rd) "Drive" it boggs out! It acts as tho I am flooding the carb or hitting a rev limit, I have checked the Vacum line and replaced it and I also checked the two ports on the Edelbrock carb and the one on the passenger side (right side) seems to have the best results,I can feel the suction on my finger tip when I place it on that port as well as the other side too but it seems to run better on that side. I am wondering if I should replace the Vacuum Module? Or is the problem more then that?

    Don,
I don't think it is clear that you have a transmission problem. Sounds like a fuel problem to me. If you run out of fuel, the engine vacuum level will drop off, possibly causing the modulator to hold you in a lower gear. Do a fuel pressure, and volume check. Check the float level in the carb. Fuel pumps are cheap, if yours is old, replace it.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Okay I put a New Vacuum Modulator on and still the same, But by the looks of it I need one any way the Metal Canister almost crushed in my hands the metal was so thin from years of road salt and things, I have checked everything else so Now I am going to replace the Fuel Pump, Rock Auto Had them for $23.00 bucks so I guess it can't hurt because by the looks of it ,It looks like the orgrinal one so replacing it won't hurt. But I am Tellin ya I am going to be a BIG GAME HUNTER IF I DON'T FIGURE THIS OUT, Cause I will be Shooting :blast: A WILDCAT!
