jon, which housings did you buy from them? I see oracle offers 3 different levels of led bulbs. I agree with you I have tried many types of headlights in my cars and they don’t seem great....thanks Gordon
Hey Buick Bros, sorry I've been busy. So I got these for my 71 Riv. Octane Lighting, 5-3/4" 6K LED HID H4, p/n: 036-3rd-GEN-LED, set of 4 $179.95. Bright as heck, can see everything in front of me. Plug N Play, All low and high beams or standard 2 lows, two highs. Bright white light, huge difference in clarity and looks original.
Max Damage, they don't look as radical as the ones CanadianBird was considering, they have the clean glass look and that's all I meant.
Thanks for that update, Jameson. It will help me because I am close to converting to the new technology for my GS.
Well, after reading this thread and Knucklebusted's thread, I went ahead and ordered everything to upgrade my headlights. I figured might as well, since every other light (except the one in the rearview mirror) has been done. Since the housings in Knucklebusted's thread were not available, I purchased these: https://www.amazon.com/IPCW-CWC-700...UQ56/ref=dp_prsubs_1?pd_rd_i=B000NZUQ56&psc=1 Anyone else use those, yet?
Those are the ones I am using. Same issue - only has the low beam mounts. You will have to modify something to make them stable in the high beam bucket.
I will post up when I get it done. May be a little while though. I just, finally got my front disc brake conversion kit in!
One of the things you can do is bend the tangs so they are too tall and you can push them against the lamp bucket to get them to squash in place. Then when the ring is secured, they should mostly stay in place.
Got mine in finally. Used the same set up as above. Plus the trick lights - It won't make me go any faster but it will get attention at the car shows! And the daytime driving lights:
