What is the difference between the 350 & 455 Is it the length.

If so can any body let me know the length of the 350 rod.

Currently have one available that is 15"long. Does this sound correct for a 350.?? :Do No:

    Thanks

    Paul, 15" is close.

The 350 rod is slightly shorter from my research. See this pic for 3 clutch rods. Top is Chevy, mid is 350 Buick and lower is 455 Buick.

This pic shows an accurate measurement on the 455 clutch rod(15 3/8"). You can use this measurent to determine which it is you have.

350 rods are not currently reproduced. If you happen to have a 455 rod and want to trade for a 350 rod - then just PM me.

It is good to hear your project is on again, drop me a line if you need any help.

    Reg:

Thanks for the response with pics. Excellent!!

Looks like the 455 Rod would work on a 350 ?? what do you think.?

Paul, chances are you can make it work - maybe trim the lower rod a bit...

The real question is will overall geometry and smooth operation still survive, chances are it will suffer!

I am of the opinion that all misalignments however small are best avoided - especially in the heart of such a "borderline" designed system. It just seems that I have seen far too many broken clutch pedal welds, too many bent frame brackets and many clutches that just never felt quite right!!
