John/Terry, The red 21 tooth gear is correct for 4 & 3 speed man with 3.42 gears according to my 71 buick asm manual. I do know it is also correct for other years, but you need to know rear end gear and tire size. If you have custom combinations, you might have to try one and see how accurate it is, and then determine if you need to increase or decrease the teeth on the gear. For instance if you have a 3.73 rear, you likely need an 18 tooth gear. Shipping is about $6 from the P.O.( no Insurance), or about $9-10 UPS. Right it is driven by the smaller gear on the shaft. I will check into the gear set I have to see what it is and get back asap. Put me down for pending on the red gear, hedder bolts and dist.
