I have a '79 3.8 V6, out of my latest project. has METRIC on the oil pump cover.

it was runing when yanked out of the car.

    it's a 2 barrel setup.would it be worth anything , besides scrap?

That's a short port 3.8L evenfire motor. Really not worth all that much since its not as good as the later tall port 3.8Ls that are stronger and more plentiful. Remember the Buick V6 (198cid, 225cid, 231cid, 252cid, 3.3L, 3.0L, and the new 3800 Series I and II/III) is the second most numerous engine GM ever made behind the SBC.

Good call, those non-computer even fire distributors are valuable comodity for those people wanting to go back to simpler times or run a FAST system on thier Turbo6's after they solve the surpentine belt issue.
