this might be a stupid question, but is is possible to change valve size from stock size to stage1 on a pair of 455 heads intake 2" to 2.130" exhaust 1.625" to1.755" really wet behind the ears/higbee
Yep. A good machine shop can do it. While it's apart and they are cutting in the new valves, ask them to pocket port them while they are at it. It shouldn't cost that much more, and you'll get a better flowing head(s).

Yep, in fact the stage 1 heads were just ordinary heads that had been converted to larger valves by the factory....
