Just got a hood tach in from TPP. Does not come with vent line. I've seen some posts here about how awful the aftermarket vent systems are. Two questions...are there any decent aftermarket vent line systems out there or is there a way to make your own vent system (I thought I read on a past thread about someone building/creating their own)...help me Dr. Frankenstein!!
You see the vent line filters on Ebay all the time. Get a 71 assembly manual and look at the diagram. You should be able to rig some kind of vent nipple on the heater box.
Depends, if an original tach it will fog up every rain or high humidity, aftermarket units may act differently, as I haven't run one of those... Oh and when you say vent line, I assumed you mean to connect a vacuum line to the intake. There is a kit available (from Year One or so) and I have it, but haven't gotten around to installing it yet.
