Dan. Sent you another email thru the board here @ V8Buick. Want to talk about you '68 for sale. Will call you in the AM. Thanks. Jim
What fuel do you run in this motor? Does it need an additive account of the unleaded fuels of today? Jim
Jim, I run it on Premium unleaded and do not have a problem with that. Premium here is 92 octane and it is tuned for that. The lead issue is not a concern unless you were drag racing all the time or towing a mega trailer. It should not have any spark knock on good quality gas. By the way, I spoke with Duke this evening and he is probably coming out Friday or Saturday......
Ram Air Box Specs Hey Deacon! By any chance, did you have an opportunity to check your invoice for the lid and base part numbers? I'm the guy who's planning to purchase a similar set-up for my '72 Skylark. Thanks in advance,
Back on the market! Last Friday I had agreement with a buyer only to return from the labor day weekend to find an email stating that he changed his mind.....I had stupidly turned away other prospective buyers. ou: It is on the market and please feel free to call me with any questions or to set up a viewing and demo ride. Yes, I will try to get the info out in the next few hours. I am buried with work load at the moment. Thanks.
Dan, What all is the stereo system comprised of? Just wondering how much I could use in my 69 convertible? I may need to find Rick H. and ask him how much it would cost me to swap the rear end, brakes, sway bars and stereo onto my 69, since nobody seems to want to buy this car....... o No: Thanks, Chris
It May be sold. All that remains is to work out the payment details before the car is officially sold and shipped to proud new owner. Should have it all worked out by the first of the week. I will update the board then. Thanks.
Let me know Dan, I just about got "myself" convinced it would be a good idea to buy the car. Thanks, Chris
Sold! It is going to a very good home. It seems like the new owner will be one that can appreciate what a special car it is. This car showed that it doesn't have to be a chevy to be cool. People for the most part just don't know or appreciate all of the engineering and work that went into this car. The new owner is on the board, but I will let them identify themselves if they choose. Thanks for support and encouragement from a few on the board, you know who you are...... :TU:
Dan, Congrats on the sale, although it is certainly bittersweet. Going to miss seeing you and the Buick at shows throughout the year, and I am going to forever wonder what "would have been" had I bought the car. Very glad to hear it is going to a good home, even though I will miss seeing it around. Don't be a stranger! Thanks, Chris
If you like to see the car at a show, you have to come over, Chris. The car is awesome, Dan. Just as you described it, and even better in real. I drove the car for 1 hour and it was great fun. Thank you for everything, Dan. :TU:
Nice car, isn't it Bart???? :TU: I will let you know when I get there, you can pick me up in it!
