  3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. very wet behind the ears

    my name is sherwood. im located in alabama i am very new to v8s im a import guy. i have a 95 civic hatch that i race 501hp ran 7.3 at 103 mph in the 1/8th. so now me and my brother is getting into the v8s. we picked up a 72 shylark with a 455 in it. the only thing wrong with the car was the fuel pumps. from what the guy said when we got it. and guess what theres more wrong with it then just the pumps. the tranny is slipping very bad. the motor is popping going down the road hopefully just a push rod(i hope) and oil pressure wont go over 25 going down the road and drops to nothing at idle. but motor pures like a kitten at idle and not making any knocking sounds so thats good i guess. reserching the site on how to replace the oil pump.

    Any update on the oil pressure issue on the 455 Sherwood?

    There are several threads on this topic as you may have discovered by now. If you do rebuild the oil pump and determine that there is not excessive wear in the timing cover portion or oil pump body, be sure to maintain the correct end clearance uoon reassembly. Here is one thread on the topic. Also, T/A performance sells shim kit which provides several thickness of gaskets to help achieve the correct end clearance for the gears. They also have an adjustable oil pressure regualtor which is very handy to dial in exactly what you want :beers2: They also have a booster plate. Again, lots of reading and opinions if you search the forum with the keywords....
